‘Orto Botanico di Palermo is one of the most extraordinary botanical gardens in the world and we wanted to create a magical experience for visitors, both at the entrance and in the museum bookshop. We think of the artwork as a portrait of the ancient gardens,’ say Austin Young and David Allen Burns Fallen Fruit.

When in 2019 Fallen Fruit, the Californian creative duo formed by Austin Young and David Burns, was called by CoopCulturea to create Spektro Completo/Iridescence at the Botanical Gardens of Palermo, no one would have ever imagined that it would become the first art bookshop in Italy .
